A Swiss-French national, Daniel has earned an international reputation advising many of Europe's most successful business-owning families as a mergers and acquisitions practitioner, fundraiser and strategic partnerships instigator.
He began his professional career at Arthur D. Little as a corporate strategy consultant before being appointed Managing Director of Mergers & Acquisitions at CCF-HSBC. He then became CEO of Deloitte Corporate Finance Ltd, overseeing activities in Europe, the USA and Africa and was then appointed head of the worldwide M&A practice of Building and Construction Materials at Citigroup, advising a large number of family-owned companies across the world.
As a founder of Echo Capital (UK) Ltd, a UK-based corporate finance boutique registered with the FCA, Daniel has concentrated on providing independent strategy, fund raising and M&A advisory services for families of significant wealth. In parallel he has been serving as Executive Chairman of ESL (UK) Ltd., a UK Public Affairs consultancy, and serving on the board of various for profit and non-profit organisations, such as the Aspen Institute.
Daniel holds an MBA from HEC Business School and a PhD from Stanford University, California. He also served as a Visiting Professor at HEC Business School for seven years.
He began advising +Cassia in 2016 and developed a collaboration with its founder Jean-Paul Cassia. Their association evolved into a partnership whereby Daniel oversees capital commitments regarding the global projects portfolio.
