As an entrepreneur, designer, art director, TV host and innovator, Gilles has decades of experience in the fashion, film, food, cosmetics and fragrance and branding industries and has developed a network of extraordinary relationships around the world. During his multi-faceted career, he generated millions of dollars in retail sales for his employers and clients and is a seasoned socialite in Hollywood.
Involved early in his career with the NBA, NFL MLB & the NCAA as an exclusive apparel licensee with Jeff Hamilton, Starter & Russell Athletic, Gilles’ prolific career and energy stems from his entrepreneurial appetite to find synergies at the confluence of art and commerce. As a visionary, he has worked for the Sultan of Brunei, was commissioned by Heineken to create an energy drink in collaboration with Partouche Casinos & Papagayo St Tropez, exclusively represented the relaunch of John Richmond fashion in North America, was involved in a sneaker collaboration with SPARCO Italy, designed apparel for the NASCAR and collaborated with SPY Optic’s MX Googles, among many other successful ventures.
His brand LA Fuel was launched in 2008 as an exclusive luxury lifestyle fashion apparel company which produces denim jeans, sweatshirts, tee shirts, hats/caps, bags, energy drinks, energy gums and a fine jewelry collection created in partnership with celebrated jewelry designer Herve Heumann (Cartier, Mauboussin, Messika, Jourdan…). His work has been worn by celebrities, film stars and Hollywood producers including Will Smith, Bruce Willis, Kobe Bryant’s wife, Dr DRE, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, The Game, 50 Cents, Vivica Fox, Michael Jordan, Mohamed Ali, Denzel Washington, Oprah Winfrey, Christian Audigier among others.
Gilles’ passion for design and architecture was reignited following an introduction in 2019 by Jean-Paul Cassia’s partner Olivier Lapidus, around which a partnership for the USA market was conceived.
Between Gilles' extraordinary network and +Cassia’s legacy in design since 1958 and specialization in branded real estate, the partnership intent is to explore unique real estate development opportunities in the USA which taps into the synergies between architecture, interiors, branding and marketing in a way that unlocks extraordinary potential and value on any scale.
