Stephanie+Cassia
Partner, Interior Designer & Art Consultant

“Bespoke designs, details and narratives create the canvas that influence emotion and memories."

Stephanie completed the foundation course of l’École Supérieure des Art Graphique (Penninghen) in Paris from 1990-1992 and received her BA in Art History (Magma Cum Laude) from the American University of Paris in 1996. Her parallel interests in the applied arts led her to receive a Diploma with Distinction in Interior Design from the Inchbald School of Design in London in 1997.

During her studies in Paris, Stephanie worked in various art galleries, assisting with the organization and planning of young contemporary artists. Her interests in theoretical and applied arts led her to focus equally on the development of her own artist explorations which culminated in numerous exhibitions in Paris and Beirut, including commissions for private and corporate Clients associated with the CASSIA Group’s hospitality work.

Returning to Beirut in 2000, Stephanie joined +Cassia’s interior design studio and has since participated on wide range of projects ranging from residential, commercial, hospitality and retail. Examples of her work include residential apartments in Faqra Club, Achrafieh (Nasra 911, and Nasra 771), the renovation and redecoration of a 250-year-old Lebanese house in Ghazir. She oversaw the design of 620 one and two-bedroom residential units in two towers of approximately 47,000m2 each on the Galleries, a 229,000m2 mixed-use development in Downtown Jebel Ali, designed in association with Pei Partnerships Architects, a leading US-based practice from New York. From 2010-2018 onwards, Stephanie was project manager of Saif 308, a 16 storey luxury apartment development undertaken by +Cassia and its partners in the heart of Beirut’s cultural district, providing design and construction management oversight, while designing private interiors for owners acquiring units in the project.

Stephanie’s designs are imbued with a balance between volume, colour, textures and materials, a practical reflection of her ongoing artistic explorations in various mediums and subjects. While her artistic pursuits have been published in various retrospective monographs in the Beirut art scene, Stephanie’s objectives are to continue the studio’s long established practice of providing interiors that embody aesthetics, functionality and quality and in the context of branded interior design, provide the interface between the Developer and brand, as brand ambassador and creative and project director.
