The Omayad Conference Centre and Hotel was commissioned by the Syrian Arab Republic. The complex is situated on the plain of Damascus, adjacent to the site of the international fair of Damascus, crossroads of the Middle East.

The conference centre includes an auditorium of 2700 seats, which can also be transformed into an international conference configuration with a capacity for 120 delegations and 100 observers. The auditorium is equipped with the latest communication technologies, including simultaneous translation and electronic voting systems.

The Centre also provides six additional conference rooms, seating from 60 to 470 participants, as well as numerous delegation rooms with up to 20 seats each. As in the grand auditorium, these conference rooms all offer state of the art communication technologies.

The 5-star hotel of 450 rooms and suites provides an ideal background for the most elaborate of events with its extensive banqueting facilities and restaurant outlets.

The design was inspired by the best of Islamic architecture Omayads creators of true Islamic art/architecture, brought in harmony with the modern requirements to create this outstanding and unique complex….

The complete project represents 100,000 sqm in construction area.
