Jean-Paul L. Cassia
Chief Executive Officer

Jean-Paul Cassia is a British developer and architect who works with investors, governments, and global brands to structure complex ventures, mentor talent, and shape how buildings are experienced, commercialized, and remembered.

Dual-trained in architecture, business administration, and finance, he has led over USD 2.5 billion in mixed-use, hospitality, residential, and cultural developments across EMEA and Asia. His portfolio includes city stars Heliopolis Cairo (USD 1.2b), the galleries downtown Jebel Ali with Pei Partnership Architects (USD 300m), and destination-scale projects in Vietnam, Morocco, and the UAE. Across twenty-five years, jean-paul has fused master planning, architecture, interior design, branding, and capital strategy into development models—structuring PPP frameworks, advising family offices, and forging alliances with luxury brands to translate cultural identity into built form.

Surviving cancer at Houston's MD Anderson shaped his resilience, his instinct for timelessness, and his attachment to places that hold meaning and memory. His American years, reinforced by his US architectural education, cultivated a bold, problem-solving mindset influenced by the clarity and optimism of modern American masters. In parallel, two decades of classical guitar and composition shaped his approach to design. Where his late father explored architecture through more than 400 oil paintings, Jean-Paul approaches it as a composer: assembling form, programme, narrative, and emotion into a resolved, harmonic whole.

The evolution of the xCassia logo reflects this arc: the ‘x’ as an emblem of collaboration and multiplied value, and the shift from sobre to vibrant colours as a passage from discipline to expression—from a father’s intellectual rigor to a mother’s love of life, family, fashion and humour. This synthesis—heritage, resilience, music, American boldness, and a lifelong search for meaning—anchors his evolution from “creating buildings” to “building stories”: a brand focused on shaping timeless living, where culture, capital, and human aspiration converge into places that endure in memory and experience.
