Jean-Paul L. Cassia
Executive Director

Jean-Paul is an award-winning British design architect who collaborates with investors, governments, luxury brands, and specialists, structuring unique teams, mentoring young talent, and understanding the cultural influences of how buildings are used and marketed.

With a master’s degree in architecture and another in business administration and finance, he managed operationally-complex projects, including the $1.2b City Stars Heliopolis Cairo, $400m Galleries Downtown (w/ Pei Architecs), $290m Burj Khalifa Residences (w/ Michael Graves), and currently oversees the highly press-friendly $1.4b Zanzibar Domino destination in Tanzania, an iconic PPP project with the Tanzanian-Zanzibar Governments that has the potential to be a game-changer in African tourism.

Over the last 25 years, Jean-Paul developed iconic mixed-use hospitality, leisure, and commercial real estate projects and competitions, pioneering new synergies between master planning, architecture, interiors, branding, and PR to add exceptional value and potential to real estate on any scale. His network grew exponentially to include lifestyle and luxury brands, artists, musicians, history and philanthropists all keen to crossover into real estate design and developments.

Jean-Paul’s fundamental take on design is that it is as much driven by context and a search for timelessness than it is by the narrative that drives successful projects. “Building Stories” in real estate combines the formative vision of XCASSIA’s 1958 philosophy with the narrative-driven aspirational models of our social-media digital age. In Jean-Paul’s view: “what I love about both models is that they are tied together by the skills required to bring many people to believe in the act of creating that stage-set for the memorable adventures of life.”
