Julian received a dual Bachelor of Arts in Music Synthesis and Film Scoring (2005) from the Berklee College of Music (Boston), a Master Degree in Composition from New York University (2009). Julian’s musical production and creative tapestry emanates from an international background that crosses British, French, Pan-Arabic and North American cultures.

Born in 1981 and educated in France, England, Beirut and Boston, his work is naturally eclectic and fluid in its musical style or sub-genres. As a multi-award composer and producer operating our of New York and Toronto, Julian’s work with film espouses a DNA-out sensitivy to the story line, character and mood to enhance the viewer’s intimate experience with the content. Julian plays a range of instruments, including guitars, drums, percussion, keyboards, clarinet and guitarviol, a one-of-a-kind hybrid that closely resembles a violin in timbre. Julian firmly believes in the integrity of recording sound tracks with real instruments.

Julian’s numerous awards and mentions include Best 2018 Soundtrack for feature film “The Voyageur” LMA (Lebanese Oscars) and 3 Wheels Golden Tiger Nominations, Hong Kong 2009. His many film scopes include original music for “Haunted,” 2015, commercial work the Canon Spot #3 commercial campaign (2016), Paypal/ Airbnb commercial campaign (2015), Netflix commercial Campaign (2015) and Samsung “Iftar” commercial campaign (2013). His latest production work includes “Save Us Now,” for “Steven Gray” (201*), which he recorded, performed, produced, engineered, mixed as well as the production of his latest album release “Almost an Artist” (2018).

Julian's versatile experiences in music production add rich content to the projects he undertakes. His association with +Cassia, a branded design consultancy that evolved out of the family business, gradually came into contrast as the nature of real estate and design evolved towards a more sophisticated understanding of people’s need for more immersive experiences in their interactions with the built environments.
